We’re not restricted in life by our own doing; we’re restricted by our own affections. Think about it: Ultimately, you’re always restricted or promoted by what you love.
Preachers don’t restrict you, religion doesn’t, and the fact that you are a Christian and attend church regularly doesn’t make you all you can be. If your life is not moving forward it’s because of what you love. When you love, you become tied to, and influenced by who you’re connected with. The people that you love are either holding your life back or propelling it toward your destiny.
If you have a great calling, but you’re running with people who don’t, you love them more than your calling. If you refuse to break off these relationships that create great inequity, don’t get mad at others, or the church, because your life and your relationships are not flowing as planned.
Check the people you run with, the people you’re tied to, and who influence you.
Every relationship you have, every bond that you form, matters.
What happens when the person who’s keeping you down and holding you back is your spouse?
Just “showing up” doesn’t cut it anymore. You must be an active participant in your calling and allow the Lord to prune away the “branches” that aren’t productive. Sometimes those branches are relationships.

this is an excellent message regarding relationships because it is so true. When you run with the right crowd your with right people, you cover their back and they cover yours.
I have tried to live right,but my husband doesn’t even try,how can I live for the lord when I live with the devil? He’s really not the devil,but when I try to live right, the devil jumps all over him!

Awesome! Word just what I needed today. We have to take an honest approach with the subject of our earthly relationships. What is he/or she adding or subtracting from me spiritually??? WOW!!
Personally, after years of my family members opinion of me appearing to make me rise and fall in my relationship with the Lord. it dawned on me I was in control, I was ‘allowing’ this behavior…they were running my life, not the Lord. No person can serve two masters! After seeking the Lord, I believe He showed me they were ‘emotionally toxic’ to me and that I could pray for them, from a safe distance and that His opinion of me was all that mattered. Now, I am much happier without them directly involved in my life, accepted the fact that I will never measure up to what they want me to be, and am truly walking in the acceptance of knowing I’m loved by Christ and accepted by His Beloved. Jesus is my everything!

Great message pastor Ron, this is a confirmation of what I am going through. it is very hard, but necessary for the purpose to be done. We just need to cut off anything that is hindering us from doing God’s will for our life. We just need to ask Him for help, believe me He will.
